I found Loving Kindness
and Visualization the most beneficial for me.
Both of these meditations allowed me to concentrate on someone I knew. I noticed when I concentrated on someone, especially
a loved one; it helped prevent my mind from wandering off to other
thoughts. I can implement these meditations
in my life by alternating between the two each evening before going to
sleep. This will help relax my mind and
help to melt away all of the stresses of the day. This will also help me have a more peaceful
sleep so that my mind will be mentally prepared to face the new day along with
the stresses it may bring.
I enjoyed both of these exercises as well. Out of the two I enjoyed the visualization exercise the most. It made me feel the same feelings I had at the moment the incident actually occurred. I find mindfulness meditation the easiest exercise to fit into my busy schedule. I found that I feel much more relaxed and in tune with my body after just 10-15 minutes of the exercise.
